- Dr Fanous does ERCP and EUS. Many other GI doctors are not trained to do these procedures and will have to refer you to yet another doctor to have the more extensive tests done.
- We are the ONLY independent GI practice left in Tyler. We have a centrally located office with friendly staff. No elevators, no complex parking lots with fees to park. Just park your car and walk a few steps to enter our office.
- Board certified in Gastroenterology every 10 years. Enrolled in the American Board of Internal Medicine MOC program for Gastroenterology (following the most current recommendations and using the newest medications and modalities for treatment).
- We take constructive criticism. Not many doctors will personally respond to both positive and negative reviews. WE DO.
- We do not bill an additional facility fee (because we are not connected to a hospital). This often times results in a significantly lower patient bill.
- GI procedures come with risk. We take this very seriously and do everything possible to reduce this risk. Having over 30yrs of experience can result in a very positive outcome.
- We welcome second opinion patients. We start your evaluation with a fresh clean slate and try our best to review all of your records.
- Dr. Fanous uses the most current AI (artificial intelligence) to augment his colonoscopy procedures. It’s like having a second set of eyes. This helps detect even more polyps and potentially further reduce the risk of colon cancer. His pre-cancerous polyp detection rate is among the highest in area.
- We don’t give up. We always have a plan B. If endoscopy is negative we continue the evaluation so we can get you feeling better.
