Important Practice Update
Effective September 1, 2026, my private gastroenterology practice will be closing.
After many years of serving the East Texas community, I have made the decision to close my private gastroenterology practice.
Although my private office will be closing, I will continue practicing with UT Health East Texas. I will no longer be seeing patients in a traditional office clinic. Instead, I will continue performing endoscopic procedures when requested by your primary care physician, gastroenterologist, or nurse practitioner.
Your medical records are being transferred as part of this transition. Future appointments or procedure referrals can be arranged through UT Health East Texas Scheduling: 903-747-4210

Welcome to our website! Dr. Fanous has been caring for thousands of East Texans since 1994. He has been board-certified in gastroenterology every 10 years. He does procedures at the Olympic Plaza GI Lab connected to UT Health Tyler (formerly ETMC). We see patient 16 years of age and older.
We accept Medicare, TRICARE, Medicaid, and nearly all commercial insurance plans. All pre-certs and referrals are done from our office.
Our clinic is conveniently located at the Shiloh Office Park on Copeland and Shiloh near the Rose Rudman Trail with free parking just a few steps from the office.
